I loved how rifts and temporal storms effect the music from a resonator since it was previewed in the sneak peak of the 1.16 update.

I'd love to hear what surprising little detail you have discovered.

Maple seeds will actually spin when they fall.

Phytoplankton, and to a lesser extent glow worms. Completely cosmetic, but a cool environmental detail.

Jam labels. It's just so nice to have specific labels rather than generic ones.

The sign in the village well.

The toilets.

Catfish. They're just so goofy!

Monster idle animations. It gives them some depth and makes them feel like a believable part of the world, rather than just a conveniently placed obstacle.

The maple seeds spinning is pretty great, and it’s particularly funny when they land in water with a “ker-plunk”, sounding like a stone. Ahhh the infinite fractal spiral of details that one must face to make a video game.

I love how the foxes hang out in pairs sometimes, and run away together. I swear sometimes the leading one looks back to see if the other is still with them. Makes me feel bad about killing one… and I’m like… ohhh… but look… they were a happy couple. 😥

Only right thing to do is eat them both I guess, but usually one gets away.

I'm not completely sure about that one, but I think that during a cold and dark winter night like you face in the high latitudes, I have seen a drifter kneeling and sort of lamenting/praying on the ground.

I don't know if that kind of stuff have thoughts or feelings at all, but I never quite looked at them the same way since...

I just freaking noticed this 10 minutes ago. How long has that been a thing? I don't recall them doing that before, but maybe I never paid attention.

It's been a thing for as long as I can remember, so...since 1.18? It's an easy thing to overlook since they're pretty small and still fall rather fast.

I think it came in at the same time that tree seeds replaced saplings, which was 1.15. I remember how delighted I was to first see one fall (I don't think that aspect had been described in the announcement).
