  1. I'm fairly certain the devs of VS are planning on doing that later on.
  2. May I make a suggestion? Fish heads and fish guts. Filleting the larger fish should have a chance of dropping a head or the guts. The head can be used in stews, the guts can be used to make fish sauce, and both can be used as bait.
  3. Can I use this along side Medieval Fashion? Because I've heard there's some crash-causing conflicts between the two.
  4. Having played using the Primitive Survival mod I have to suggest having traps in a later update. Makes early survival a little bit more bearable and encourages players to think a little bit more (should I eat these berries now, or should I use them as bait?) An addon to the above would be some non-lethal traps in order to catch small game for domestication efforts. A structural integrity system like in Valheim, if done right, would be fun too. Build your house right or else it'll collapse with the first stiff breeze. Be sure to build some supports when you're mining, be it in an actual mine or in a cave, or else you might find a whole mountain (perhaps literally) of rock and dirt falling on top of your head. Speaking of caves, cave mushrooms would look nice, give you another source of food, and can even give a small level of light in the area. And underground ponds and lakes filled with blind fish would make for an interesting fishing spot. I don't know how it would be implemented in a way that wouldn't ruin the fun of the game, but cave hazards like gas and coal dust would be interesting to see. The only times I've ever seen that in a game was the Glenn's Gases mod for Minecraft and a MUD called CLOK (shut down two years ago, but was rebooted as COGG). Some primitive steam power would be an interesting mechanic. Maybe not quite steampunk (although with the locusts in game it wouldn't be that out of place. Or would that be more clockpunk?), but something as an upgrade to windmills/watermills late-game. Early gunpowder weapons would make for a fun late-game weapon.
  5. Things like "Multi-generational animal domestication" and "Improved animal behaviors" are on the roadmap, so cat taming might be a thing later on... as least as far as one can actually tame a cat (speaking as a former cat owner).

    I love beams

That's the risk you take with wood. Same is true here as it is with MC apparently.
  7. Gas was also a dangerous threat in caves. Either you get a slow death by suffocation or, if the gas is flammable and you're carrying an exposed flame, you're either burnt to death by fire, blasted to death by the explosion, or crushed under a cave-in. Of course this means you have to figure out a way to either avoid or remove the gas. Some sort of ventilation system if such a thing was possible at the Vintage Story tech levels. Another thing that makes gas dangerous is that it's colorless and often odorless (The reason why you can smell natural gas from a stove or other appliance is that gas companies add a chemical called mercaptan to it, giving it its distinctive rotten egg smell.) Unless you hear a hissing sound you often have no warning of the danger in the area. And even then it might be too late. It's why miners use to carry canaries with them. The birds are far more sensitive to gas than us, so if the bird dies the miners know it's time to haul haunch out of that shaft. And then there's coal dust, which carries a similar threats of suffocation and combustion, as well as the long-term threat of black lung.
  8. The bones could be used to make broth. Bone ash is used to make bone china. Gelatin is made using bones and hooves. Glue is made using the same stuff as well. If fortune-telling becomes a thing in-game (even if only for roleplaying), then bones could be used as well.
  9. Herbology/potion-making's on the roadmap. Maybe you'd be able to make poisons for combat with mushrooms later on. And perhaps even make beneficial potions with them if you do it right. After all, the difference between medicine and poison is often simply a matter of dosage.
  10. There's already a sieve in-game but, so far, its only use is for making parchment (at least according to the wiki). Perhaps we could use that for faster panning or something similar?
  11. I wouldn't use XCOM 2 as an example, considering it's a AAA game. But otherwise I agree with you.
  12. Bumping for interest, because I'm having the same problems.
  13. Does anyone have an answer to this? Because I play a heavily modded game and these lag spikes are killing me!
