  1. If you'd remixed Radiance and Rust, you could call it... Rust and Relaxation. I'll see myself out.
  2. Are you in need of a reminder of what your original argument was? You're been trying to argue that an apocalyptic event that brought down a civilization should be something you have to go and visit. I don't know if you're capable of noticing, but you've not been doing a very good job at supporting that point. It's just your opinion, it's immutable, and you're not convincing anyone through intellectual surrender.
  3. It looks that way if you're not engaging in rational discussion, let alone engaging on the substance of the argument. I already gave you a solar storm example, which you're ignoring because it means you're wrong.
  4. What definition of "global" are you applying to VS? The VS "world" isn't even more than just former Europe. You can't escape the fact that you've essentially argued that we should be able to avoid a natural disaster by just not heading towards it. All those people who die in floods each year sure seem silly right now. Just go outside and walk away from the tornado, it's not that hard.
  5. Maybe you should just need to fertilize if you cram too many bushes in one place.
  6. Are you actually trying to take the position that real life storms are a thing people typically decide to show up to? Going to the rain? Nah, not today, man.
  7. Fat's for sealing crock pots. You certainly want to be making meals ASAP rather than wasting potential calories on cooked meat. You should probably have copper before you've harvested all the nearby berries (or termites, etc.). Like panning for copper, these are for when you've come up short, not something to aspire to. Time spent fishing is time not spent finding copper.
  8. But you don't get fat or leather. Seems more like an emergency food source when you don't have better options. Even wandering nomadically, you aren't engaging with the berry replanting mechanic, nor sitting still fishing. You're grabbing berries and mushrooms as you move.
  9. IDK, when was the last solar radiation storm? Usually the atmosphere protects us from such apocalyptic events. Hurricanes aren't global, but there's a reason you need an evacuation warning hours before they hit (even with motor vehicles). There are miles of effect that you can't just outrun. Even if we take something more narrow like a tornado (and we're calling that a "storm"), "Tornado Alley" consists of the entire central USA. If you weren't lucky enough to already be in the specific vicinity, you aren't chasing that storm before it dissipates. It's not going to be practical to find your way to a specific spot for an occasional event, and if it's always there it's not a "storm" it's a "region". It doesn't work gameplay wise, nor as conceptually defined.
  10. Well, they're not called "temporal volcanoes".
  11. We're presumably fixing something that's already linked to a destination. Maybe let us know the distance and direction before repair so we can know which ones to ignore.
  12. Know what doesn't need replanting? Fruit trees. Know what takes a year to spoil? Apples. Doesn't sound like there's reason to stick with berries by the time you get to that point. In the same way, I don't think I'm going to waste time growing bait and fishing, as opposed to filling a trough and slaughtering. (Maybe it's more attractive far from base in winter? But you'd might as well just bring food instead of bait.)
  13. My first reaction: Oh great, this mad Seraph has turned the sky blood red with man-made horrors beyond our comprehension.
  14. Wouldn't players just stack the windmills on top of each other instead?
  15. They're highly acidic with bacterial mats growing around them. I wouldn't soak an open wound in that, no matter the temperature.

  17. Gelatin? 15th century invention, apparently. Not sure if they used fruit back then, or just meat jelly.
  18. Shelter? Just bury your feet in dirt or gravel. You take a bit of damage from the collapse, but you're now "indoors".
  19. Wood isn't suitable for holding crucibles, yet you can't craft metal tongs without doing so. The easy solution is to stop using wooden tongs after you've made the metal ones.
  20. The outside of the crucible is going to be nearly as hot as the metal inside. There should definitely be some durability loss on wood. Not sure how hot pottery should be by the time you take it out. IIRC, it would likely shatter if touched before it cools, so the risk to wood is a moot point.
  21. Maybe they wanted consequences for wood on white-hot metal, but I don't recall anyone asking for drawbacks to using wood on hot bowls, or iron on hot metal. They just wanted metal to be used where wood would burn. Wearing any type of gloves should suffice for hot bowls.
  22. Are spears subject to tempering? Could you get an iron spear to the old bronze damage without a high chance of breaking it?
  23. If grains are going to yield less per acre, they should probably be less thirsty than other crops. Like, the moisture should affect their growth rate half as much as listed.
