Yes, it’s very much possible, for example with my drifter trap design. Though I don’t know of any place for specifically posting build jsons

You may have exhausted the collective knowledge of how to mitigate/fix this issue. I've personally gone through my bios tweaking stuff and enabling stuff like resizable bar. Though my stuttering was never as bad, more so that I had much lower FPS than would be expected with my hardware.

The dev mode option is in the Interface tab of the settings screen, have you tried disabling it? If you can't launch the game then you could disable developer mode by changing "developerMode" to false in your clientsettings.json file found within your VintagestoryData folder

v1.20.12: Purely stable performance, 1.21 update notice
wildforester replied to Tyron's topic in News
Same here, found this issue that got fixed in 1.20.11, nice seeing the issues you've reported getting fixed. Fixed: Redwood tree generation destroys translocators -
land claim guide How to claim land | Vintage Story Guide | Quick & Easy
wildforester replied to Voldemort's topic in Guides
I’m guessing removing those squares from existing claims is not possible. Is that correct? -
Psst... For a tiny boost to the farm you can layer the entire pit with metal spikes except for in front of the trapdoors. This will help with killing the drifters, but it'll also kill you if you fall in, so don't do that. The type of spikes you'll want are the ones on the left since you can move them around. They're found around locust nests for those unaware.

What you’re having sounds a lot like the issues that occurred on 1.20.8 onwards, it may be fixed in 1.20.11. Then again I’m unsure of that

I doubt this is an engine problem, just something that is not done. Storing planks in piles would be nice.

It makes sense when you look into the files of the game, the rates are much lower (In fact you'll get something like 75% seeds back per tree with redwood and ebony, all others should be sustainable if not a little slow to build up a supply of)

I think this is becoming tree tricks, I didn’t even know saplings could be planted in water.

Constant fps drops/stuttering, game unplayable.

Updating to the very latest version may help due to the additional ram optimizations -
I don't believe so, but climate may, I found an old message from Tyron stating that. It may have been in reference to trees generated at runtime rather than from sapling. (Yeah, fertility makes no discernable difference)

Unfortunate indeed, I was trying to see if there’s a way to force trees to grow taller, I’m not sure it’s possible. Best thing is to space your trees sufficiently and shear every leave

Did you disable dynamic lights or pick a preset that did? Fog on the surface could also be the cause.

When planting Redwoods, clearing an area underneath the saplings will allow some more wood to generate. The area can be cleared like so: The blocks south, east, and southeast of the dirt upon which the sapling is planted. A 2x2 area underneath the dirt upon which the sapling is planted that extends to the south and east. In total you can gain 7 more Redwood wood. Enjoy!

I tried this while shearing leaves on a tree and realized that you can chain this.

Too bad there’s a limit… I’ll have to go through my posts reuploading images via an external site to post more images. That’s possible, right?
