  1. Bismuth is pretty toxic. I would probably limit things to copper, brass, bronze, and steel. Iron is questionable, but I could see it being acceptable. As for having the hook just be a generic hook, that would mean eliminating all of the variant groups, which means everyone would have to remake every meat rack.
  2. How many people have made meat hooks with really weird metals like bismuth or gold? I'm probably going to cut down on the number of metals that you can use to make meat hooks and spiles, since some of them are toxic and others would be too soft.
  3. What do you mean by 'a sausage dish'? I just put 2 slices of redmeat and 2 links of aged sausage in a pot, cooked it, put it in a crock, got it with a bowl, and ate it. I did not eat the bowl. It had normal spoil times, too? What did you make?
  4. Heh, I bet you're still on 1.14.2, aren't you?
  5. I would really like to be able to filter the Mod DB by author. Some people consistently release awesome mods and I might want to make sure I have them all. I'd also like some kind of endorsing system kind of like Nexus Mods has. It's informative without being insulting in the way a system with downvotes has. I guess if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve the database, share them here?
  6. Oh, yes. 1.3.7 will have breaded veggie/meat balls moved over to fried balls. I also trimmed the acorn-breaded items because, frankly, they were just bloating the game. My bad.
  7. No, it's been fixed already.
  8. I... don't think that's ever happened to me.
  9. Yeah, you should be able to grab stuff by right clicking with bottles.
  10. And they're up and running... with more options than ever! And I forgot to add herbs to the fried balls here! My god...
  11. Good news: That bug is going to be obsolete. I cut the size of en.json by half.
  12. Yeah, that's what I meant. That's about as far as I'd like firearms to go.
  13. ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT MAKE ANY MORE BREADED VEGETABLE/MEAT BALLS! EAT ALL THE ONES YOU HAVE! THIS INCLUDES MEALS! ALSO, DO NOT MAKE ANY ACORN-BREADED ITEMS! Other breaded stuff is fine - just not balls. I'm working on a new breaded ball item that will include all food types in a single, much slimmer recipe. It'll be a while before I release it, but I'm warning everyone now. Sorry. EDIT: To cut down the fat, I will also be removing the grain types from acorn breaded items. This is because they are 100% useless and I should never have included them in the first place. Double sorry. EDIT: I think I just got rid of 1000 recipes by doing this...
  14. I really wouldn't want to see anything beyond muskets and single-fire pistols. Maybe hand cannons, but that's pretty similar to a musket, IMO. Either way, the ethos should be the same - bows are faster than crossbows, which are faster than guns... but each deals progressively more damage, too. A high-end bow should be an acceptable alternative to a cannon that takes 10-15 seconds to reload.
  15. The amount of people who actually use the panning mechanic never ceases to amaze me. ESPECIALLY before Jake released that sluice mod. I tried it once and I got bored to tears - imagine my surprise when I find out that apparently most people do it and it's a decent way to get items if you enjoy right clicking for hours.
  16. I would really not recommend grabbing mead with bottles. There's enough issues with mead as it is, we don't need to add more on top of it. As for the bowl/cooking pot issue... I can't replicate it. I just made a salad with 6 items in every slot and I was able to place the bowl/pot on the ground without issue. What are the exact steps you're following?
  17. It's Expanded Foods, I'll take care of it.
  18. That's how the meat rack already works. It's actually one of the smallest files in the entire mod, it's just that multiplying every type of wood by every type of metal has... predictable consequences when it comes to generating item IDs. I could do Expanded Foods (Lite), but I'm concerned how people are going to deal with moving from this mod to that one. I'm 95% certain that most items using variant groups that I'd remove would break with no way to automatically remap them to the new items. That's the biggest concern. The second biggest concern is maintaining two forks at once. I just hope it doesn't burn me out. I don't think I'd ever split the fluids off from this mod, though - to me, they're too intertwined in one another. That's only going to become truer as I add more recipes.
  19. Updated to 1.3.6! Syrup/sauce drizzling moved to the mixing bowl (should fix FPS drop) Cured meat and bread crumbs can be added to salads Handbook edited for clarity 4x recipes for Spiles and Big Hooks added (thanks to @DoctorVanGogh) Food oil can be used in place of animal fat for mechanics recipes (thanks to @Jobediah Timberman for the recipes) Cleavers added to chopped food recipes Honey now gives HP in meals Sausage now rots properly and gives proper nutrient values when dried Putting chopped pickled carrots in sushi no longer crashes the game
  20. I'm torn on that question every time I open the creative inventory. On one hand, that's a lot of items. On the other hand, the visual variety is great. Do you think it'd be possible to have a Meat Rack (Light) item that has no variants and have a configuration option to switch between the two? I haven't looked at config stuff yet, so I'm not sure how feasible that is. But they look so good!
  21. Good news - you can use wine in meat stews. I don't think they'd fit in any other meals right now.
  22. That would be pretty cool... depends on what @jakecool19 thinks. I've already got all the shapes and textures made, clearly.
  23. I think it's related to this mod adding around 1100 grid recipes or something. I could hold off on removing the variant groups and just move all the syrup-drizzling recipes over to the mixing bowl. Part of the problem there is that I have to have a different recipe for every bottle, and since there's so many different kinds of meat variants already... it's a very, very large file. I'll see if moving it to the mixing bowl helps smooth things out.
  24. IMPORTANT NOTICE I will probably be removing grain variants from fried food, since the sheer number of permutations are linked to what's causing the FPS loss. However, I cannot automatically remap more variants onto fewer ones. In my testing I've been able to manually type something like: "/iir remapq expandedfoods:breadedmeatnugget-bushmeat-smashed expandedfoods:breadedmeatnugget-spelt-bushmeat-smashed force", But the game won't seem to do it on its own or prompt you for it. If I can't get this to work, your fried food will disappear. I'm giving you guys a heads up now, so you probably shouldn't be sealing crocks with fried stuff.
  25. It's a problem on our end, nothing to do with your mods. Hopefully we get it fixed soon.
