  1. I only added recipes, I didn't touch the original ones at all. I'm still able to make mechanical parts with fat. Now, it can be a pain when reading the handbook because it randomly moves between possible permutations, but you should still be able to use fat in their original places, where the bucket is.
  2. It is, but currents are a good idea.
  3. Battle for Wesnoth is fun, but I wouldn't really want to see any typical fantasy monsters or non-human/Seraph races in the vanilla game. As a mod though, sure. Now, a Death Head's Tree is something I could see being adapted into VS as a weird plant monster that grows in temporally unstable areas. Monsters in VS should be scary. Drifters nonwithstanding.
  4. Out of curiosity, how does your drying rack work? I'm wondering if we could tweak the meat rack in Expanded Foods to let you hang herbs from it if you have Alchemy installed. Oh, @Streetwind, you've seen the distillery concept that the devs have posted, right? https://content.invisioncic.com/r268468/monthly_2021_02/distiller.png.ceaa21b93811062a07fe5a6c2816c203.png Hopefully Tyron is taking on the challenge so we don't have to. EDIT: One last thing - I don't know how the potions in this mod work, but if they're actually liquids then you should be able to use the EF bottles for them, as well.
  5. Chicken processing tubes when?
  6. I've been told that some people have crashed while trying to press saguaro into juice. Here's a quick patch to fix it, move this into assets/expandedfoods/patches. fruit.json
  7. So deer should drop lots of bushmeat?
  8. Only if this includes more climate-specific flowers, too.
  9. We certainly need more variety across the climates!
  10. I hope it has more functionality of the forums, then. The current comment-based format isn't entirely appropriate for long-form discussion.
  11. More animals, by any chance?
  12. It's a real shame that your mod updates with all these awesome new enemies like cannibals and anomalies and I had no idea until I randomly decided to check this page. I know you guys only want it to be used on your server or singleplayer worlds, but all these new mobs are exactly what people playing singleplayer are probably looking for. It's lonely out there! You should let people know more about these updates! CoB Bandits is already one of the more popular creature mods, people would go bananas if they found out about bison and cats and stuff.
  13. Maybe if they're just in your inventory they get doused, but if you actually have them in a bag or backpack or something then they don't?
  14. Please do, I've never been able to reproduce it and it's kind of annoying. I tend to do most of my testing in creative worlds.
  15. I probably should've asked this months ago, but does anyone know what the difference is between these two in the code? They both seem to result in the same thing: you gaining nutrition. Am I overlooking something?
  16. Nope, I just downloaded it and I was able to make breaded balls with meat nuggets, rice, and cheese. I don't have any files sitting around in my game directory that would be causing this, either. Are you in singleplayer or multiplayer?
  17. Do you have the compatibility library installed?
  18. They are. I might remove them and only allow you to use the bucket.
  19. I recommend the Braziers mod, if you can get it. It should tide you over.
  20. The goblins are totally from a mod, the only enemies in this game are wildlife on the surface (mostly wolves), and drifters. There's some nastier stuff if you go cave diving, but that's mostly what there is right now. I can think of 4 mods that add new enemies: Goblins (only on the forums) Dangerous Waters The Neighbours CoB Bandits The Golden Wolf is also a companion mod, although I haven't tried it.
  21. I just uploaded some images here: https://www.vintagestory.at/gallery/category/2-for-media-page/ It's pretty hard to find the Gallery. I don't know why.
  22. Fortunately, they seem to have a pretty lenient refund policy here, so if you have technical issues you should be able to get your money back. It sounds like you should be able to run it, at least. As for mods, I can't really recommend anything without knowing what you like. Except StepUp. StepUp is great. Play the game for a few hours, browse the ModDB and get mods that look essential to you, then play for a few dozen more hours and go grab some more, having greater experience with the game. EDIT: Oh yeah, CarryCapacity is pretty good, too. That and StepUp should both be in the base game, IMO.
  23. I haven't really tried to push a lot of the settings to the max since I'm not a big fan of depth of field or bloom. Love me some god rays, though. You can play around with a lot of the settings to find what works for you.
  24. Depends on how many trees there are, but around 45 FPS usually with the occasional dip that I seem to get in every game. I also have Vintage Story on an SSD, if that helps.
  25. I play a bit above medium and use the Volumetric Shading mod with a few features turned off (not SSR, though).
