  1. I feel survival experience should be primarily be more than just existing , sitting in a hole covered from the outside world and munching on extremely storable food is hardly "surviving" Would love to see just existing as a small trickle of exp but the main way to level survival being to resist fatal attacks and injuries ( take damage and not die ) , heal from said injuries and eat food. With this in mind as you have more sources of survival exp , would it be possible to add a debuff like the well rested buff ? Appears after death and reduces the survival exp gain rate. Could be called "Restless Soul" and a stacking debuff that reduces your gain rate until it expires and everytime you die while you still have it makes it stack ( numbers I would leave to your discretion). Implying that your soul after respawning needs to readjust to your new body and dying while still adapting makes you more out of sync.
  2. Personally copper, since I have boatloads of that ( I was lucky enough to find a cave with ultra high native Copper ( 37 ‰ ) , so I make the spiles , meat hooks , fishing stuff and non essential tools out of it. I havent tried looking into modding ( crafting ) due to time restrictions but would it possible to have the smithing result of the metal hook just be a generic hook and not metal specific ? This way all metals would still be valid as a material and cutting back on the variants reducing them only to the different wood type used The hook could just be a generic iron-y looking hook Edit : Forgot to add Main reason for asking this is because ore distribution is not always the same and sometimes you have to conserve metal you would use for your normal tools. Someone could have bad luck and so far only find copper tin and hints of bismuth . If I were in that position I would hope if I could craft the hook out of bismuth to conserve my tin bronze / copper reserves for weapons, tools and maybe some armor
  3. Mods and player count , those are the things I need but I got messages from several people saying I should check out citadel hosting which looks like exactly what I need
  4. They are visual only IIRC and used for simple storage ( less than a chest )
  5. They probably have a grasp on the situation as they made a mod that changed drifters Damage ,speed and even agro/attack range and others
  6. The counter is actually a neat idea and to expand on it : Since we already use the hammer to smash meat ( or in my case use the excess amounts of Peridotite stones in a better barrel ) BUT to cut up the meat why not have the player use a cleaver ? Its only use is really the killing of domesticated animals and even that is something not many get to use. This would kinda incentivize the player to explore new tools
  7. So you are telling me the mod and game basically pulled off a TF2 Soldier and teleported ( registered ) too much breaded stuff which caused the game to grind to a halt during crafting things unrelated to the bread ? Why does this remind me of my old developer job ? But glad you found the issue although it is a weird one... So as long we dont have any breaded / fried meats around it should be safe , right ?
  8. IF this helps ( as you said my sausage was wrong.....that sounded wrong.....) here is my mod list : Anvil Recovery and Geothermal are disabled but the game doesnt like me removing them from the folder. Maybe you can spot why the sausage is not giving proper nutrition
  9. I mean drizzle on top I had the first intention of putting the bottle in off hand and food in one hand to "drizzle it on" or put the food on the floor and then use the bottle content on it via rightlick. As so many things are done in world and not in grid
  10. have you really looked at it though ? 490 total for one sausage is actually pretty good IMO And you can put that into a salad to make even crazier stuff
  11. As the title says I am looking for a server host in order to start a little server with friends from generally Europe and all over US + Canada. Would be about 10 people and we would like to use mods. Anybody got some good recommendations for hosts ? In the past tried multiple hosts for games like Terraria , Minecraft and other survival games with varying results of performance with even just 5 people. And regarding mods , many had that smart statement "If the game has workshop support it will pull from the Steam Workshop and install and update automatically" ... yeah , sure... VS on steam.... If the only option is to use an FTP client that isnt an issue either then. Thanks for replies and help in advance and all have a nice day/evening
  12. Okay because using 14.8 and the 1.3.4/5 was causing no issues for me either , only after updating and using both 1.3.4/5 and 1.14.10 gave the horrid crafting lag combined with the fireplace audio glitching out randomly
  13. Did you perhaps also upgrade to game version 1.14.10 ? After I upgraded from 14.8 to 10 I started to have insane crafting lag and audio glitches with fireplaces. I need to check again if that was 14.8 to 10 , the shift to 1.3.4 of EF or maybe both but its 4:30am for me now. But it only appeared today after I had to change version due to upgrading this mod
  14. The bucket of holding and duplicating sap
  15. Update : 1.4.8 is the culprit ( at least for me ) I updated to 1.4.10 and the recipe for sap in the first slot works while cooking the sap in the saucepan from the tree directly on fireplace no longer shows anything BUT : I can generate sap out of thin air https://clips.twitch.tv/BeautifulAwkwardPlumberPeoplesChamp-Bwkm69e2U7JxYP88 Same works in survival and I am now at 37 L of sap in the bucket and filled saucepans on the ground
  16. No you understood right , I thought it worked but the game didnt update the description from 1.3.4 to 1.3.3 , so I got my sap on 1.3.3 Anyway Created new world with no other mods besides Expanded foods 1.3.4 Same issue as I described before. Out of curiosity : What game version are you using ? Mine is still running on 1.4.8 as the mod info says thats the compatible one
  17. Yes , downloaded just about 1.5h ago
  18. Well game tricked me ... it was using 1.3.3 , still not working on 1.3.4
  19. I...... I dont know HOW , I dont know WHY But after I had a look into the zip files and item types to compare 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 if there was a hint to why this would happen.... It loged back into the world to a functioning sauce pan... And the maple syrup was done when I logged in. Either there was some REAL funky desync going on or something else Aftert typing the above I placed a new saucepan with new birch sap... it immediately started cooking I have absolutely not the foggiest why this is now working
  20. on stream I did light them , this is live reporting I even lit them with doped coal burning at 2000°C
  21. All three methods side by side with a freshy downloaded 1.3.4 version Only the old method tells me it should work but is missing temperature and is doing nothing. EDIT: Went creative and tested maple sap , same results
  22. As I said I did that too. Nothing happened 4 in the first slot. The pan showed nothing
  23. Did that too and nothing at all was showing in the top of the cooking pit Sauce pan on the fire place and added in the variation : 4 in first slot and 1 in each slot Nothing happened Adding the sap into the pan on the ground and then the pan on the fire didnt do anything either
  24. Updated to 1.3.4 and had also sap evaporate on me Additionally to that I managed to duplicate sap from saucepans by picking up with a bucket, I got 28 liter in one bucket from 3 sauce pans that were filled with about 1-2 liter each And cooking the sap in the saucepan no longer works for me The Progress bar "cold" is just gone despite saying "will cook into Syrup" Only used the Super coal here to see how it works , but neither coal , charcoal or firewood or this worked temperature wise ( which was what I assumed was maybe causing an issue) EDIT : Downgraded to 1.3.3 and it works again
  25. Little spelling error : Giant Slabs are labeled Gient Slabs ;D (Otherwise superfun to use
