Dilan Rona
Tried to dig up farmland with a shovel, only i got no soil. Problem is with 1.19.5, and 1.19.7 (That I tested with). Same problem occurred when using hands to dig up farmland. Got no soil back.
xXx_Ape_xXx
Not a bug, it's intentional and been in the game "forever".
ifoz
It's an intentional feature so that you can't just reset all your soil and instead have to wait for the nutrients to replenish.
Dilan Rona
Except that I needed to replace the soil which is currently the poor fertility soil with medium fertility soil, but if you insist that its not a bug, then i'll drop it.
Foltig
Is there a way to turn it back into soil? (maybe it should convert to low fertility soil always instead of dropping nothing?) I wanted to replace it because I moved my farm, but had to go digging for more dirt to fill the hole
ArgentLuna
Play enough and you will be leaving dirt wherever because you don't anymore at home

LJim
Yeah I'd use the Farmland Drops Soil mod until Tyron figures out a way to implement farmland dropping soil properly.

Alternatively, you can just break the block and replace it with another one. Nutrient problem solved.
