1.22 Traders Not Ariound

Have I been really unlucky with traders, or is this a bug?

I have started a couple of different worlds, explored for about two hours on each, and cannot find either berry bushes or an actual trader. I can find their new huts (about 12 discovered), but the traders are nowhere to be seen or heard.

If you're flying around in creative mode, I've noticed sometimes it takes a minute or two for the trader entity to spawn in. It's pretty weird, but they'll often suddenly show up if I hang around going in and out of their rooms a couple times.

As for berry bushes, many of them are lower to the ground now, rather than the giant shrubs they all were before.

Traders are bugged in 1.22, every once in a while I'll have one spawn but most do not. Berry bushes are everywhere but appearance has changed from previous version with the berry bush rework..takes some getting used to.

Just in case you don't know .... if you find the partly destroyed trader look for a trapdoor. They are underground. Also have had them not make a sound until I interact with them.

As for the berries once you get used to the new look they are easier to find. But the do blend in much more than before.

I have spotted the trap doors and looked underground. They are not there either. I've looked up what the berry bushes look like and cannot find any

Welcome to the forums! Which game version are you playing? The most recent version of 1.22 is 1.22.0-rc2, and traders should be spawning. A couple versions prior though, traders were not spawning in their outposts due to the ongoing trader appearance overhaul. If you're playing on one of those older versions, or the world was created in one of those older versions, that may be why you're not seeing them.

As for the berry bushes, they should be spawning with the same parameters as previous versions. However, their appearance has been changed to look more realistic to the plants in question, and less like boxy bushes. Thus they can be hard to notice sometimes, especially since the berries are smaller and don't completely cover the bush when ripe.
