Facethief Posted Wednesday at 05:04 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:04 PM It seems like all of the crafting is pretty jittery now- things are randomly appearing and disappearing in the menu. It seems as if some recipes have to be in very specific locations in the grid now, namely straw beds- but the grid issues make it hard to tell. 4
ijkdenem Posted Thursday at 05:30 AM Report Posted Thursday at 05:30 AM i am so hyped for the new stable version

I have experienced item vanishing from the crafting grid output, then apearing several minuts later (when attempted another crafting). For the exact number of items, it looks like there was added new recipes with the same spatial distribution but smaller amount of required resources, that makes crafting grid confused as it cannot decide, which one you want to craft if you put bulk of resources there (e.g. rope is 3x 2 cattails horizontally, but newly craftable headband is 3x 1 cattail horizontally, good luck with ANY number of cattails bigger than 2 put into particular grid windows...). However, as the crafting is somehow unwanted mechanics, it is question, what is the best way to get from this mess. Edited Thursday at 05:55 AM by Vratislav 4

Could do the Valheim way and have different crafting stations for different types of items, at least as a somewhat "quick" fix before they figure out how to turn all the crafting into systems like we have for pottery and metalworking. 3

I have ran into this as well, I've found that clicking the output anyway, even if the output item is invisible usually results in the item being crafted correctly, but on rare occasion I get some block or item that just wont craft for whatever reason, happened with some dry grass and packed dirt. 2

I've noticed this too, I've also had items craft more than they should. I was making double chest and only had 4 singles but ended up getting 3 doubles. As well as sometimes I can't place an item in any slots except the original one it was in until I close the windows out and reopen it. Also has anyone had the glitch with the fishing rod where the bobber stays out in the water, at first the line was still following my character around even when I put the rod away, after relaunching the world the line disappeared but the bobber is still sitting out in the water.
Shoom Posted Thursday at 02:30 PM Report Posted Thursday at 02:30 PM (edited) On the topic of jitter, Is it only me or does the player jitter a little when running on stone paths? Edit: Like a small up/down jitter, as if you were stepping up or dropping down a very slight edge. Edited Thursday at 02:49 PM by Shoom
ilft Posted Thursday at 05:08 PM Report Posted Thursday at 05:08 PM How long should we wait for the final 1.22?

Shoom Posted Friday at 05:00 PM Report Posted Friday at 05:00 PM Making parchment using linen pulp and sieve seems to be buggy right now, at least in single player. First time you try it, it seems to work as intended but subsequent tries the recipe changes from requiring 4 linen pulp to 0 linen pulp, which results in the sieve producing infinite amount of parchment until it breaks. Anyone else experiencing this?

How long does it usually take with worm bait to sit and wait? Do you see a fish swimming towards the line if there's no fish in the lake? Honestly though - fish being so rare feels silly to me. Ive been testing on RC 2 today and with 4 world gens haven't found a single fish. Just flying around in creative mode trying to see if they even spawn in this build

Just flying around in creative mode trying to see if they even spawn in this build I can confirm that you don't have to see fish to catch them with a pole. I haven't seen any fish in any water in several world gens I've made in the past day, but I've been catching them even so. That said, I'll point out that in several cases, I've only caught three or four before they seem to just stop biting altogether. I can only hope that that's not the devs' idea of overfishing. As an aside, I really don't understand why fish don't drop any fat. Especially salmon, I mean...again with the realism/gameplay balancing issues blah blah, yes, I get it. But salmon was historically a very accessible and important source of fat for early peoples who fished. It makes zero sense for fish to not drop any fat at all, ever. Honestly, the Primitive Survival mod handled fish in a far more useful and realistic way, especially for those of us who struggle to put away enough food in the early game. So far, the changes to berry bushes and fishing have mostly just made the game more tedious in ways that I personally think don't make any sense. I'm probably going to roll back to 1.21.6. Andir Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Several recipes are missing from the book (saw, fruit press...) A few recipes will duplicate items ([fat and medium raw hide], [reed chest and knife] are the only ones I remember) ... this was on a dedicated server on my own machine with me as client. Some recipes as mentioned do not show valid, but picking up an ingredient and replacing will fix it. 1

I wasn't making a point of looking though, and not sure if there were any fresh water fish.

Thank you for mentioning this. It was helpful when crafting hand baskets. 1 1
