ZigTheHedge Posted November 24, 2020 Report Share Posted November 24, 2020 (edited) This mod allows players to use pigments as a crayons (in 1.14.0 and later you have to craft these "crayons" literally) and draw on anything around! Five colors are available: Charcoal - Black Lapis Lazuli - Blue Cinnabar - Red Olivine - Green Borax - White Just hold right mouse button while holding one of pigments and draw (1.13.4)! Craft a piece of Blue Clay along with some Resin and a pigment to get yourself a Crayon (1.14.0)! To remove the drawing, just put a block on it. Spoiler Known issues: - Fast strokes won't be recognized by server and will result in a poor quality of drawing (when save/load the world) - When drawing intersects block boundaries, part of painting can be absent after saving/loading the world Planned features: - Glowing paint (using Glowworms as a source) - Optimization of saving mechanics Changelog: 1.2.2-B: - Compatibility fixes for 1.15-pre.1 Spoiler 1.2-B: - Removed vanilla patches to not disturb new vanilla mechanics of coal placing - Added Crayon item of various colors 1.1.2-A: - Fixed drawings disappearing on water surface - Fixed black texture on top of non-solid surfaces when drawing intersects such block 1.1-A: - Restricted drawing to solid surfaces only - Now drawing will disappear if base block is removed - Disallowed drawing under water 1.0.1-A: - Fixed Sneak+Click behavior of pigments. infinitetech Posted November 30, 2020 Report Share Posted November 30, 2020 any chance we could add in yellow, magenta, and cyan/ yellow, purple, & orange since those would just be raising two color values up? and maybe a grey that is perfectly balanced for background or subtle markings? love it as is, just thinking that a few things were missing a bit. or maybe a way to water down the paint to get transparencies so we can have the backdrop and colors we add show through a bit? just some thoughts. love the mod. Maybe mixing colors, either through more crayons (woo bigger box of crayons!!) or having them layer atop and blend? Trying to craft a crayon with powdered charcoal and a second with lapis lazuli, but using the clay/resin/pigment in the crafting grid is not producing anything. And saving artwork and reapplying it elsewhere, like tags which don't need to be redrawn each time. Stuff like "I was here!", tag, date.
