  1. Welcome to the forum, and to the club of self-igniters Think we've all been there, some even several times.. Just brush it off, and build something new and better next time. Oh, and make sure your pit kilns are kept away from anything flammable
  2. Coopers reed = cattails The file defining the plant is found in blocktypes/plant/reedpapyrus.json The spawn chances are found in worldgen/blockpatches/other.json To identify the blockCodes for anything in game, turn on "Developer mode" in the "Interface" tab (all the way at the bottom), then make sure to tick the box for "Extended Debug Info" on the "Dev" tab. Then when you are in game, use Ctrl+F3 to bring up the debug screen, and you can see the block codes for anything you point at, on the right side of your screen. You will also see similar info when hovering over something with the mouse in the handbook or on your hotbar.
  3. This is client side only? Note to self: Learn to read!
  4. Same is happening on our mp server, sealed crocks, take a portion and it spoils instantly, but not always
  5. Birds! Flappy little birbs floofing about, twirping in the trees, waddling around water features and giving life to the vast forests Because birds!
  6. Welcome to the game, and forum! Well done keeping your composure, and choosing to educate your friend rather than turning the evil eye on him May your journeys be long and arduous, explorations fruitful and your pickaxes always sharp and hit their mark!
  7. Fricken awesome build! Love it!
  8. Everyone keeps talking about this "realism" when arguing for their views, yet we still have tools breaking and vaporizing into thin air once they "break", we survive with nothing to drink, yet we starve and start to die the very second we get hungry. We have soo many aspects and mechanics in this game that is nowhere near close to "realism", yet we long for it to be the pillar we stack our arguments on when we wish we had certain functionality in the game. If we were to add every real step needed to even craft a simple knapped axe head, find and prepare a suitable shaft to mount it on, gather the needed fibres and sinew to secure it to the shaft, and then use it to chop down our first tree.. we would have gameplay that would take hours, if not days, to even get some simple tools we could proudly use. Let's cherish the great game we already have, and not forget that this is after all, a game! We have enough time consuming and hair pulling things happen IRL, why would we want to bring it all into an already great game?
  9. That is correct Brady, the handbook is dynamically populated when loading a world. But still, we could have the vanilla stuff available in the lobby.
  10. In a 1mil x 1mil world (vanilla settings), there's basically unlimited berry bushes to be found, so I wouldn't be concerned about "picking every bush" around your base. And as exploration is a huge part of this game, you're bound to go to new areas that have more bushes than you could ever carry. As much as I've wished for the bushes to drop seeds, I've accepted that I'll have to go explore to find the bushes I want in my garden. Hopefully they will add propagation of berry bushes some time in the future, but until then there's always a mod to help with most things not already in the game..
  11. This is a question best addressed to GPortal on their website. Not sure you'll get any good answers here..
  12. Some garden gnomes I made for one of our summer MP servers. Had much fun with these
  13. Stained window, and lots of other chiseling on the building
  14. No, it means that the software running the server have different network code, and are not compatible with each other. It should not impact the world you're running on the server.
  15. Thank you for all the hard work you guys do! Much appreciated!
  16. Post the log snip from where it happens, I'm curious to see what process is hanging
  17. You could try this: /debug logticks [milliseconds] If a server tick required more then supplied milliseconds to process, a breakdown of that tick will be logged to server-main.txt Server commands: Debug
  18. Hud Clock was my first, then it just poured in with lots of different qol mods after that
  19. Two of the pictures I've chiseled, tho I have made more but don't really have any good pictures of them

  21. First picture reminds me of Wolfenstein3D
  22. Would love a VS coffee mug or water bottle, and a drifter hoodie Thunderlord or Dave hoodie would totally rock!
  23. Been there, done that My first two or three worlds I ended up setting fire to something, either my house/hut or other infrastructure I had built close to the pit kilns All the fun of learning the games mechanics and quirks
