    Map seeds

Technically EVERY seed will have lots of slate. The problem is locating it. I assume you want a seed with slate that is close to spawn?
  2. The problem with that is the depleted farmland soil would revert to the original nutrient levels and create a farming exploit. Additional coding could make this idea work, but I don't know how difficult those changes would be.
  3. Or return to the mine and hear that wonderful ringing bell and claxon spawning reinforcements.
  4. My excess flint just hang out in a chest, forgotten and unloved. If I get annoyed by it I end up yeeting it down some hole somewhere.
  5. Only problem is those large sand/gravel deserts. Instead of sand/gravel, maybe a stack or two of hay bales? No matter what there ain't no mistaking that for a naturally occurring block
  6. I look at mushrooms as fast food. Either before I have a reliable source of food production or I'm on a long journey and running low on my prepared meals I brought with me.
  7. I stop gathering flint once I am comfortable with the amount of copper to keep me in the copper age.
  8. Just LOVE the lake generation. :)
  9. As would sheep that grow wool. Perhaps adding alpacas that can be sheared.
  10. Looks like a night with medium rift activity and a rift or three spawned nearby.
  11. Even in Single player growing crops is plant and forget.
  12. Slaughtering baby's results in zero resources, so their weight doesn't matter.
  13. Not necessarily. I installed VTP to help find it after spending 2 in game years and only having 2 stacks of the stuff despite running over an area covering tens of thousands of blocks. As I travelled over those areas I found that I hadn't missed any TP. After installing Buzz, I have found the same to be true; bees may be rare and I didn't miss any. Ultimately, it comes down to the seed and RNG. VS is sometimes kind and sometimes cruel.
  14. Only food requirements animals have is to reproduce, or maintain good body weight for slaughter. Otherwise they are immune to starvation. If animals are kept under a roof, be sure to provide lighting as they will despawn.
  15. Use larger hides which also only takes one fat to cure and will use a better crafting recipe.
  16. And if you're OK with BuzzWords - Visible Terra Preta is the same thing except for (as the name implies) Terra Preta.
  17. That seems prudent to me. Especially the bees as they are typically located in forested areas with the resident dangers.
  18. Either it's a bug or your home may not be considered insulated from the cold for any of a small variety of reasons. One of the those reasons could be a chiseled block that has less than 50% of the entire block left.
  19. Have you crafted warmer clothes, such as fur clothing? All it takes is oiled hides.
  20. Given the basis is Tinker's Construct for that other block game, I think the unstated benefit is that mixing and matching material of construction provides a variety of durability and speed options to choose from. Maybe combo 1 for stone tools harvests blocks faster but has lower durability than combo 2 offers. But I could be presuming that's the intent of the OP.
  21. That bauxite and andesite combo is beautiful!

    What about 1.18?

I agree that the two don't look like the same object. I don't see much about gliders and such in the lore (although I haven't looked at all the lore yet, so I could be wrong here). It could be Tyron giving us a glider and just lumping it in with gadgetry and I'm splitting hairs very finely. Isn't speculation fun?
  23. Torch is TWO grass above a stick or one REED above a stick.
