  1. I'm not really clear on those
  2. I used cob to top my walls and just replaced with path slabs
  3. I figured it out. Slabs can be placed in the top part of the block space, and are not eligible spaces for spawning, unless they are path slabs. Not sure why that is.
  4. Does anyone stream or do vods of modding?
  5. Not sure if this is what you are thinking of but check here: https://github.com/anegostudios/vsmodelcreator/releases
  6. As the title says, I think there should be an option in create new world to set the land height for superflat world. I like to use this world type for testing things but with only like 2 layers before you fall into the void it makes some things difficult to test. In this case I was trying to experiment with things related to cellars and wanted to see how depth effected their functionality. I ended up choosing an exploration world set in creative, but then you cant get a flat world type at all. Also the ability to set the world with no time movement might be nice too.
  7. I saw somewhere someone say that mobs cant spawn on slabs either upper or lower. Something like that. I can't figure out how to make a slab place in any way but the lower half of a block. How do you place it on the upper half?
  8. Based on the arguments given here, as I have no experience to go off, I totally agree.
  9. I feel like tool molds should be able to be stacked since they are solid, flat objects. It looks like 4-5 would fit on a one block space based on their current dimensions. Alternatively, They should be able to be placed on shelves 1 per shelf, 2 if stacked.
  10. I also forgot to mention being able to add non food organic items as well such as flowers, hand baskets and sticks/wood if you get to where you just have way too much.
  11. Tips? I've dug around the couple I've found but found nothing of interest beyond a pot or two.
  12. Mine rocks back and forth at my base. I think torches burn out faster and likely food spoils faster during a storm
  13. Did you try using the pot? Maybe bucket of water too
  14. I like to mark cave openings so that I don't accidentally fall in while sprinting. Like I did when I sprint jumped and landed on gravel that then fell into the cave beneath it lol
  15. Lol yeah I've been trying to keep balance. Not easy with berries plentiful and not very satiating and meat very saturating
  16. It was an experiment to see if it was useful to not have to stand on a pillar for 20 minutes lol. Guess I'll need to start hunting and farming again lol. I'd stopped because i had so much food. Does sleeping turn off mob spawning till you wake?
  17. Ok, no, it's got to be bugged. I left my base for 3 days and came back to find the crocks in my food vessel that had 10 days were now crocks with rot, and stuff that had 100+ days had also rotted. I tried to space them out into single items and all were rot. So something odd is going on. The only thing I can think of is that I used the time set command to skip the night? Is it possible it skipped multiple days? My torches were all out also and I'm fairly sure I was not away for three full days. So...damage control. How do I get the rot out of my bowls and crocks? Out of curiosity, can you eat rot? If so what would happen?
  18. I'm a slow progressor typically. I'm off the chart ADD and so I get distracted a lot and tend to have a lot of things I'm doing at once, many that are really not progression focused. I also tend to work to have a lot of safety. And I often make things way bigger than I need lol Like my current base which is huge for my progress level. Ugh, replacing torches every three days is so much work when you have like 30 of them to do.
  19. This has happened to me a few times to, once after it chased me a half day's sprint, then again when I grabbed my stuff before I could get pillared up to fight it. And I've also been attacked several times more but got away. I know it's cause they took fall damage. What I'm not sure at this point is if that's a bug or something that will be staying in the game.
  20. Yay! Now I just have to stop getting time out errors
  21. So I find it really funny that my rank here went to copper pourer just about the same time that I started getting copper tools in the game
  22. Hmmm... Do temporal storms affect torch duration? I pillared in my courtyard this time, since light levels are meaningless during the storm, only to watch all my torches burn out one at a time in the order I had placed them. I'm like 90% sure they had at least til morning and the storm happened just before sunset. I've also noticed that the drifters seem to only spawn at the end of the storm. At least I don't think I've seen it happen earlier. Another question... does the gear on the hotbar go down faster if you are outside than if you're under cover? Side note, I love how everything kind of sways during the storm. It's so cool!
  23. That actually sounds really cool, If not realistic. I think the chisel can make decorative blocks tho
