hotdoghammies Posted January 25, 2025 Report Posted January 25, 2025 (edited) I'm having a minor issue after updating to this version, for the graphics settings Window Mode, the player mouse is only visible in windowed mode and not in any other mode. I submitted the issue on GitHub. Idk if it's an issue when playing (ie start a world then open settings) because I just updated to 1.20.1 yesterday, and then to 1.20.2 this morning when I opened the game Edited January 25, 2025 by hotdoghammies 1

I'll have to fiddle around with this later to see how it compares against other travel methods after the change, but it should definitely make for some smoother sailing. 1
Teh Pizza Lady Posted January 25, 2025 Report Posted January 25, 2025 It feels like perhaps the Joy of Sailing mod will still have some usefulness. I would love to see that mod entirely incorporated into the game, however.
Emhyr var Emreis Posted January 25, 2025 Report Posted January 25, 2025 (edited) In version 1.20 the game was mega enjoyable on "very high" settings everything worked smoothly. Currently the FPS has dropped so low that is it not possible to play even on low settings. I do not know if it is the fault of mods, although i do not use those that interfere with the creation of the world. Oh well, i will wait for the next update, maybe then it will improve or repair Edited January 25, 2025 by Emhyr var Emreis 1

jola Posted January 27, 2025 Report Posted January 27, 2025 How would I know if I got the latest update or version? I mean other than through here. Say, from the game itself (just like how Minecraft does it). Thank you!
Thorfinn Posted January 27, 2025 Report Posted January 27, 2025 I have no idea how MC does that. VS puts a pop-up in the upper left corner of the main menu once you are logged into the authentication server. 2

Tagging on to this, I'll also note that the prompt to update VS should only appear when a new stable version releases. I think the one exception is if you downloaded an unstable version to play with, then it will always prompt you whenever there is a new version available, stable or not. 1

That said, if playing on a multiplayer server, I've witnessed the server on an earlier version, while I connect with a current version (ie server running 1.20, player client running 1.20.3) 1

If the rider is so clumsy that he lets Elk to be injured, it is only natural that the Elk will punish him. 4

Is a savegame upload helpful?

Is a savegame upload helpful? "Is a saved game upload helpful?" Personally, yes. I've done that several times on Minecraft Java. The only issue I have with that is if it is considered by the community as a cheat or not. In which case, the answer is it depends on the player.

Booker42 Posted February 18, 2025 Report Posted February 18, 2025 So I have the month's set to 30 days (not sure if 8t effects it but still) and temporal storms turned down (but not off) and I am pretty sure apart from the 1 storm that mobs have only spawned a few times even when rift activity listed it as apocalyptic. I see that there was more rebalancing in the new update but I thought I would mention it here. And mob spawns way down in 1.20?
