General temporal stability shows how regional stability can be. I've seen very large unstable areas which would indicate incredibly localized possibilities as well. Jus' sayin'

My base is pretty well lit and there's not a lot of rifts that spawn. I can pretty much do things at night with impunity, unless I'm out by my tree farm. The night of the pic I posted those drifters were from a single rift at apocalyptic level activity. I think I had laid waste to 2 dozen or more drifters from a single rift over the course of about half a night. [edit] I swear if'n I ever see Jonas Falx in game I'm gonna be sure to put him to a very quick and irrevocable end. [/edit]

Whatever happened in the past changed the behavior of animals to make them (for the most part) more aggressive. It seems to me that they are sensitive to the dimensional shenanigans that have been played and they aren't too fond of them.

Hast thou forgotten about temporal storms? Perhaps those aged beds we find are just a couple decades old because of how temporal storms monkey with the subjective passage of time. Ever play a resonantor next to a rift? or during a storm?

I pull directly from crates with my inventory open. Pull from crate, open inventory (or vice versa), craft stuff then dump into trunk or crate (if it's inventory is open) or esc to close all inventories.

The website limits the size of all of your uploads. You may need to delete large files to make room. Also saving pictures in .jpg or .jpeg formats can reduce the size dramatically.

You ever use sticks for roofing or flooring? Takes a crapton of sticks my man. Otherwise, not everyone has the same resource management philosophy you do. I prefer to have excess resource on hand before I start a project.

I recall an official comment stating the new baddie is intended to be an uncommon encounter.

We've ALL been there with one thing or another. Consider the wolfbait your initiation to the forums.

I recall huddling in my packed dirt bungalow that first night wondering if they would be able to dig through the dirt, climb up the sides, bust down the gate I was using as a door. All those thoughts having watched a few utoob videos on the game before purchasing it.

Electricity is going to be a modded thing. Roadmap indicates devs intend on steam power being the end game tech level. Electricity was developed shortly after steam.

I'm hoping for an even more horrifying stalking like a cat. Black panther kind of stalking in the dead of night, silent until you get a nice little nudge announcing it's presence.

^^^^^ this iirc it's caused by something other than the player aborting the sleep cycle.

Not exactly silly drifters as much as silly Seraph. Started harvesting my tree farm on a calm night. It turned apocalyptic. This was after drifter remains started despawning.

I need to get a screenshot I have of a glitched pond that does not flow out of the source block into the vacant adjacent block space. This is right next to a cave entrance so there should be a waterfall into the cave but no such thing due to the glitched water sources. -
It is typical for night to be exceedingly dark. This is intentional by the devs and also why a torch before the first nightfall is a critical day one objective. Welcome to Vintage Survival... err, Vintage Story where even the dirt wants to kill you.

To find surface copper all you can really do is run all over creation looking for those little copper bits (or as noted, pan sand and/or gravel). Some tricks to make finding surface bits easier to find: 1. Run around sand and gravel areas - sparse grass makes seeing surface nuggets easier to spot from longer distances 2. Pillar up (like a ladder) about 20-30 blocks. Higher perspective makes it easier to see surface nuggets. Be sure to mark the block of the nuggets was picked up from. Surface copper deposits will form directly below the nugget but could be up to 10 blocks below the nugget. I've had some cases where I've had to dig through 6 or 7 blocks of rock before finding the copper.

Those features aren't seed dependent. They're determined by some settings at world gen. Look for Landcover and Landform scale in the initial settings page. They can be updated using game commands but will only affect new chunks.

An explosive cocktail(combat use for aqua vitae)

I love it! Let's combine it with beenades for an incendiary explosion of comedy! -
There's a spyglass mod until this is added to the game (if it ever is added to the base game). It's one of the very few content mods I play with. I just need to remember to take the cotton picking thing with me when I go out on an extended explore.

Not necessarily. Realize the development team is small. For coder there's one full time dev and a couple or few part time helpers. Look at the roadmap to see what the vision is for the game. Tyron (full time coder) has recently said that the game is maybe 10% complete.
