  1. No matter what they do, I'd still use chisel tools
  2. If anything I think it's AMD GPUs. Because on my actual gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 5600x and an RTX 3060ti, 16GB system RAM I never had any stutters. Or freeze ups. I also play on an ROG Ally and it will lock up for a few seconds regularly when exploring. And also, while running through the woods, FPS drops to around 22 or so, from a solid 30 while in a field.
  3. They probably know people just don't want to watch vintage story videos. Even the most popular VS creators are regularly under 10k views per video. And I'm talking about people who built their channels on VS. Yeah, you have the occasional videos that reach much, much higher numbers. But those are usually YouTubers with established audiences from other games. Not people who made their channels from VS. Maybe it's because much like actually playing the game, any let's play series takes forever to actually get anything done. The game has been shot in the foot when it comes to today's audiences. There is no attention span anymore. They want instant gratification. I bought a copy of this game for my niece like a year ago. She loved it for all of about two days. After things weren't progressing fast enough she didn't want to play anymore. She just went back to playing 7 days to die and Minecraft. Haven't been able to get her to play since. I really feel VS's days are numbered. Where as Minecraft will endure for decades into the future because those players now will introduce Minecraft to their kids when they grow up.
  4. I used to have weaker PC and the only time I notice any stutters or freeze ups is while using certain mods. Better ruins for instance will literally freeze up the computer for a few seconds while a large ruin is loaded into the world. Also, the game does run smoother on Linux. I had just regular Mint installed on a very low end PC (AMD RX550 GPU) for a while and I did notice a difference in performance. I can't remember the exact numbers I do know it was about a 10 FPS increase. Which wasn't bad, considering it was somewhere below 30 FPS on windows.
  5. I've said plenty of times there should be more than just a single official server. There should be at least one high capacity servers for every region the game is sold in, ideally two or more. But really I can't be particularly bothered by not being able to play on it. You have to travel extremely far to find anything useful, as every other player that joined the world has stripped the land clean things like copper, reeds, clay and flint for ten thousand blocks.
  6. I don't know, I always have multiple crates full of materials to make daub. Even if I never actually make any. The only thing I'd usually have to go out of my way to collect is sand. Also, I did just make some duab on a server I'm playing on currently. I spent like 2 hours collecting the stuff and made way more than I actually needed. I think I needed like 25 or 30 stacks of daub, and ended up making around 50 or 60
  7. This video show you how to copy and paste your buildings in another world. Not sure if items inside chests get transferred as well, but I think they do. Also I'm not sure if it's the same for servers or not https://youtu.be/V5SlQLNHUPw?si=pPiJFbGYe4DcNeO_
  8. Cassava is pretty special as is. It can be used for vegetable satiety or, if dried and ground, can be used for grain satiety. So unless I'm mistaken, I think it can be used to make a pie using the flour for the dough and the soaked root for the filling. But I've never actually tried it so I don't know if it actually works. But Google's AI voice say it should work.
  9. @Tyron is this the bug I reported on GitHub? #8873 You told me if it wasn't fixed in this release, I should reopen the issue. I just want to make sure I don't reopen the issue if it's been fixed.
  10. Check your spam folder. If its not there, open a support ticket and wait for the response.
  11. It would be nice to have carts. It would make moving base much easier. Even if we did have to make a few trips. It would be even better to make them towable by the player in addition to the elk. I can live without airships though. They don't fit in with the time period of the game.
  12. Ok sounds good, you have a discord invite for me? Also I have a friend or two who might want to join as well, if that's ok.
  13. What mods are you guys running? I don't play super modded server. I like a mostly vanilla experience. QOL mods are fine, I just don't care for things like magic and dragons in the slightest.
  14. If you still want to change days per month you can also just use a command. I don't think anything too bad would happen. Probably just the food you already have would spoil. I've never changed the days per month to be shorter, only ever increased them /worldconfig daysPerMonth [number]
  15. Well you can just use commands to change the hunger rate and food spoil times. /worldconfig foodSpoilSpeed [multiplier] 1.0 is default 0.5 is half speed. /worldconfig playerHungerSpeed [multiplier] 1.0 is default 0.5 is half speed And be sure to restart the server after you use the commands.
  16. I'll join you. Do you have a server to play on? I'm in the US, West Coast. I try to play after 7pm most days.
  17. I really doubt they add any more "free" food sources in the game. They've been trying their hardest to make sure we're starving for the first year
  18. /worldconfig toolMiningSpeed [multiplier] A multiplier of 1 is default speed. A multuplier of 2 breaks blocks twice as fast. You can go up to like 99 but I wouldn't recommend it
  19. Literally what's the point then? High risk with almost no reward. That is completely the opposite of what it should be. Higher risk deserves higher reward.
  20. Some rock types don't spawn copper. You may have to go pretty far to find a rock type that does. I had a world with a limestone spawn. Oh good I thought, turns out malachite which is a type of copper does spawn in limestone, but it's rare to find on the surface. I had to travel like 2000 blocks before I found a place that spawns native copper. Chickens are crazy. I usually don't even bother with them, but when I have I just figured they layed eggs when I fed them. Probably best for you not to worry about them either unless you picked the hunter class because you will want those feathers for arrows. They only give you like 1 or 2 poultry meat. Not worth the effort. If you're looking for the best animal to breed for a consistent food source, it's pigs. They can have up to like 6 babies at a time I think and there is a low chance of getting another male. So most of those 6 babies will be female, when they grow up each of them can have up to 6 babies so it can get out of hand very fast. But the best part is you will have excessive amounts of red meat, hides to make leather, raw fat and bones.
  21. I started a world in 1.22 just a few days ago and I was just randomly exploring a cave and I found exposed halite like 25 blocks down inside the cave. First time I've ever found halite with even looking for it. I mined up two stacks of it and promptly left the cave, forgetting to mark the location on my map. Now I can't find it again
  22. I'm no expert, but if I had to wager a guess what is messing with land claims, it would have to be the claim manager
  23. I have entire rows of berries that display `trait-` on them. Every single cutting has it, no matter the type of berry. Occasionally is kind of an understatement I only took cuttings from berry bushes with no traits at all, so maybe that has something to do with it.
  24. It saves all the information of the other players in your save, the character doesn't reset. I played LAN worlds with my niece and we never had a problem with her losing anything in her inventory when she logged back into the world. You shouldn't have trouble at all.
