  1. This definitely is just a sapient mass of termites trying to push wood eating agenda on the populace.
  2. Holy hell, how did a misunderstanding turn into so much mud flinging? @OP I'm glad you found a mod that you like! This kind of discourse doesn't usually happen.
  3. Said by someone that's found one too many copper spear heads while panning.
  4. One thing I would really love is wine racks for either storage or as another step for wine fermentation. That would, of course, require glass blowing. But I doubt anyone would be opposed to even more artisanal methods of crafting.
  5. I suggest that we can create sections of any combination of mods so that we don't have to constantly toggle and second guess whenever we load up a separate save! This would certainly be convenient for people playing total conversion mods along with lightly modded or vanilla playthroughs!
  6. Started a modded run not to long ago and just refurbished an old blown up house with a translocator in it. Stamped earth is such a convenient block.
  7. This, and being able to melt nuggets of different variations of the same element together. It's kinda sucks to have an odd number of different types of copper and iron that can't mix for whatever reason.
  8. Well my first suggestion is to install a quarry mod, because that sounds like one hell of an undertaking.
  9. Go cave diving for ruins with a translocator. I've been able to reliably locate clumps of rare resources by hoping around like that.

Only for the tower? Again, it needs a better justification for taking up an entire backpack slot. It just doesn't have any more utility than a water bucket. //media.invisioncic.com/r268468/emoticons/unsure.png
  11. I had that "oh crap" moment when I was climbing up the windmill i was in the middle of building. I look down to see a bear slowly gliding upwards after me! Thankfully, he couldn't fit through my hatch. Smacked him once and saw as he came crashing back down to earth. Definitely one of my most looney tunes moment I've had playing this game.

Doesn't need a booster, but it certainly needs to be far more efficient to justify taking up a backpack slot. As it is right now, you just drop like a rock after a short distance of gliding. People said it's good for dropping long distances, but a water bucket is far cheaper and more reliable.
  13. Seeing how contentious this all is, it's probably best to be left as a mod. I may actually download it if I ever feel like adding that much more detail to my world. But either than that, I'm perfectly OK with the system we have right now.
  14. Steam has almost all the features Discord has. It's certainly a far more accessible platform that the overwhelming amount of people here already use.
  15. I would hope there's more subtle visual indicators for temporaly unstable regions in the future. May it be sound ques or particles, anything would be better than just your HUD gear slowly rotating. As for structures. There is the More Structures mod that even adds large ruins like story areas. But be warned, some of the new structures are pretty OP. I was able to skip making an anvil for a saw by finding stacks upon stacks of old boards.
  16. I'll just add by saying Steam has all the features Discord has and then some. You can make groups and discord-like channels in your friends list with different categories.
  17. My first thought would be taking cover in caves, seeing how they came from a time when that was the safest place away from the rot. Although, the various rust entities would clearly take issue with that. Following a hasty retreat from the caves, they'd likely just set up camp near flowing water in a relatively dry region.
  18. I too would prefer more sloped mountains. It's jarring going from a smooth plain to The Monolith, followed by even more flat terrain. Ideally, with the addition of rivers, we'd get sloped mountains and hills with canyons carved away by rapids. That would be so cool to build around!
  19. Honestly, longevity of a mod as simple as editing one line of code isn't really an issue. I understand wanting it as a preference, but it's far too trivial of an addition. Also, I'd look into how the hunger pause mechanic works if you're worried about running out of food quickly. That mechanic alone pretty much nullifies any sort of hunger modifier, making it a non-issue if you consistently eat large meals. How the hunger pause mechanic works is the more satiety a meal has, the longer you can go without your hunger dropping. In that time, you can wear the heaviest armor, have anything in your offhand, and run around as much as you like within that time period without any risk of hunger loss. Keep in mind that eating multiple low satiety meals doesn't stack the effect, so constantly chowing down on berries isn't going to pause your hunger. I don't have the exact stats on me, but it's definitely something worth considering when going out on any resource runs. I always carry a crock of any sort of stew whenever I plan to explore for the day, and I usually still have leftovers.
  20. Currently, compost is the only viable source of Nitrogen fertilizer, which is insanely expensive and time consuming to make. I suggest adding manure as a byproduct for goats, seeing how their droppings would be the best qualified for fertilizer. If balance is an issue, I suppose the droppings could be put the same process as compost to make manure.
  21. There's primitive fish traps. Would be neat to see something like that implemented!
  22. If something like this would be added, they could do it like how you transport hives and full traps. Let's say when you catch a fish, you can put it in a bucket for live transport. Then you just need a free bag slot to transfer it to your preferred location!
  23. Let's be real, when wooden axles and gears are spinning at those insane speeds, they're more likely to splinter than burst into flames. Also considering the consequences of spontaneous combustion are SIGNIFICANTLY higher than necessary. Let the punishment fit the crime, so to speak.
  24. Lol that's how my playthrough started too! I'd have to pillar up and scare them off with some rocks. After I made bronze brigandine armor, it quickly became a different story.
