This somehow makes my building skills feel inadequate and also pretty good. Not sure how or why though.

New findings from archaeological studies suggest that the rusty gear worm has some kind of adult form, which is known from taking up residence in the unused pages of old books left on the ground. While living as such, they are known as “lore book bugs” and produce a mildly fluorescent and hallucinogenic dust, which floats near the book they inhabit.

They’re certainly odd. Probably something to do with lore book bugs, the adult form of rusty gear worms.

I’d definitely prefer having bows remain as a valid weapon, with the firearms being more of a glass cannon sidegrade.

They stated that they’re looking into separating their projects out into different websites/forums in the dev update! Also, we’ve already seen some of the promised cross-benefits from that project; blockbench is pretty great, so being able to use it for VS modding is a boon to both mod and official development.- 185 replies

While the “fuel” section of the fire pit could be treated as a ground storage pile, or something similar, the spot for whatever you’re cooking would be wierder; if you’re using a cooking pot or a crucible, they’d probably have to have an inventory UI, or else they’d have to go full TFC and have you load your crucibles and pots before you put them in the fire.

Agreed. Maybe the posts could be made with boards, but there isn’t much distinction between the parts of the fence.

No, it says once it is damaged (2nd stage) it takes 7 days to go critical, so it actually takes 21 days to go critical.

While thatch is flammable, it is almost necessary to have smoke going through it to kill bugs and keep it dry. Now, if you put a roof right over a torch, sure, but either way, if they made roofs torch ignitable, I’d expect them to make everything torch ignitable… and that’d be nasty. But, it would probably fit in wilderness survival. -
If we’re being realistic, that’s the only way to make parchment. Of course, nobody thinks paper when they think medieval stationery. But on a more serious note, I hadn’t thought of that. I definitely have enough hides…
