  1. I would definitely recommend rotating the outside bark texture, that looks... wrong. Now that I think about it, you might not want to show any exterior bark at all, only the inside. You're definitely not going to see that white birch bark on all 4 sides of your firewood, that's for sure.
  2. Transparent textures are gonna give you a bad time. I've been having issues for the past few weeks because of it. The game often seems to have trouble rendering an object that has a transparent layer on top of it, such as glass. Sorry, man.
  3. I'm about 99% sure it doesn't. But it should.
  4. This game has amazing storms. Sometimes I'll be in another room while I have a creative world active and I'll hear thunder that's so loud and realistic that I turn around to look outside. I think storms that intense are a bit rare.
  5. Dude I'm not putting down my virtual dog!
  6. Oil lamps are your friend. Use them instead of torches for early-game permanent lighting. Since your base is infested with wolves, fat shouldn't be much of an issue.
  7. That's... that's fight music! It's not scary! There are war drums and battle horns! I mean, I think the game could use some Pathologic-esque steppe music, but that's got a lot creepier vibe than turn-based strategy music.
  8. God, I love the chisel.
  9. I meant visually. Are there different colors? Black bronze braziers would be awesome. I think they can take the heat.
  10. Exactly like that, yes. With different metal variants, right?
  11. The world settings are there for a very good reason. Personally, I play with double ore generation in my single player worlds specifically to make the initial process of getting started less tedious.
  12. I think we have different definitions of scary. Blasting zombies with a flamethrower is my idea of a good time, not something to be afraid of.
  13. ... and here I was placing shafts every 10 blocks. Guess I need to work on my efficiency!
  14. That's pretty cool. Sucks that it happened to you and there's probably no way to stabilize it, but that'd be a neat mechanic to toss into the Lovecraftian update. For right now, that sounds like a bug or something.
  15. Minecraft has a tutorial now...?
  16. Why is this such a thing? I've seen so many people come to the forums and complain about sitting around in their houses at night doing nothing... why are you doing nothing? The first night, maybe, but beyond that? I don't understand. Anyway, press F when you have the propick out, it should open a menu. Do you have one selection here, or two? Your server might have node search mode activated, which makes looking for ore a lot more bearable. If you're a big baby like I am, then install VSProspectorInfo. Having each chunk I've registered with the propick appear on the map is very nice and helps me space my mine shafts more efficiently. Keep in mind that the propick does not triangulate anything, despite what its method of use may imply. You use it to break 3 blocks that are close to one another and the entire chunk you are in gets checked for resources. The height you're at doesn't matter at all, so there's little reason to NOT check every chunk around you, aside from durability concerns.
  17. Oof, I wouldn't go changing stack sizes of things that are already in crates, that's asking for a bad time. Empty the crates first.
  18. God, I hate minecraft spiders. Partially because I don't like spiders, mostly because they're so hard to get away from if you aren't ready. I had to restructure an entire town just because the wall we made didn't actually keep the damn things out. That being said, I don't really see what's so scary about the video... it's a zombie shooting gallery. It might be spooky if VS had enemies that could tear down walls. A dungeon would be a lot scarier if you aggro'd an enemy on the other side of the wall and then it started banging at it to destroy it. Or if it just phased through walls altogether. Maybe some treasures attract temporal monsters to its location, incentivizing leaving it alone or building an entire prison to contain it. I dunno, I'm mostly spitballing.
  19. I am 100% behind devices that reduce/eliminate temporal stability. I think the whole mechanic's a bit undercooked right now, but hopefully it gets addressed eventually.
  20. Oh, you misunderstand. I was asking you to make my life more difficult.
  21. I dunno... they look a little high-res to me. Maybe I've just gotten yelled at too much for making high-res models.
  22. Thanks, I look forward to modifying all my fish satiety values!
  23. Oh, now I understand where you're coming from a bit more. I do think this might be one of those cases where "gameism" > realism.
  24. I just have a weird feeling when I'm making compatible stuff using your fillets and they're just... worse than non-fish variants. It's not a huge deal, but it has stuck out to me before. I guess my point is that I don't see the value in 2/4/8 fillets that give around 50 saturation as opposed to 1/2/4 fillets that give around 100 saturation, y'know? It would still be worse than other meat types, but it wouldn't be as pitiful as it is now. Like, why start at 2 fillets and not 1? EDIT: Actually, the biggest issue I have with fillets? 48 saturation! Why not 50?! 48 isn't divisible by 5!
