  1. is there a reason that deer don't give fat on butchering? I adore them and love seeing them run around but I don't hunt them at all since they don't give fat my meat to fat ratio is already crazy, and I end up wasting meat when I can't turn it into sausages or pemmican (or seal crocks) from the expanded foods mod lol
  2. actually what I meant was that I'd rather wine didn't turn into vinegar in bottles; save that for sealing in barrels please. before this update, as soon as my juice became wine it started turning to vinegar and limits the time to use it as wine if that makes sense? I realise it takes a long time to change from juice to wine to vinegar, but sitting on the shelf or looking at the bottle in a chest says nothing about how long the curing time is anymore. *edit* it says fresh for 36 days (or whatever) but does that mean it turns to wine in 36 days?
  3. I like the larger volume bottles, but I'm guessing to drink juice you need to use a bowl now? can't see the freshness/decay timer on the bottles in inventory/chest nor 'use' the bottle to drink it anymore also, does juice still turn to wine and then vinegar in bottles? hard to know since you don't see a timer on them anymore (preferably I'd rather see sealing a barrel of juice to make wine and/or vinegar instead of it curing in the bottle, assuming it still does so)
  4. any chance you could add in stone types that don't have a use in roads (or cobblestones) atm? i.e. obsidian, white/pink/green marble stones, kimberlite, etc? I'd love the extra color options. Especially the black/purplish color of obsidian
  5. I really like how copper and aged wood look for the meat racks :)
  6. is there any way we can change which tabs show, if we have too many mods? I'm running 60+ and ofc not all can show as tabs lol I'd like to make specific mods have tabs, the ones I tend to look up most often (like expanded foods, temporal tinkerer, etc)
  7. no, meant this stuff
  8. ahh, ok that makes more sense
  9. that'll be the 1.3.7 that isn't out yet?
  10. I have to admit I'm confused; you use the mixing bowl while it's on the ground, holding right click to 'mix' or like a quern 'grind' the ingredients together but I'm probably not being helpful so I'll be confused quietly lol; maybe l33tmaan can figure out what you mean
  11. 1.3.6 definitely helped with the lag in the crafting grid, thanks how do you put items in a bowl? (not a serving) and same, how do you put items in a cooking pot on the ground if it's not in a campfire?
  12. You might check with Jobediah (author of this mod Advanced Backpack Construction System ) on how they do the colors in their bag slots; each size has a different color of its inventory slots, and I've seen no crashing issue with it.
  13. for some reason my yew saplings aren't growing into trees; I'll give it a few more days in game, but it's been stuck at 'will grow in less than a day' for awhile now. Loving the wood color for fencing and such ah, also a few recipes still managed to slip past you, like wooden doors still can't use yew wood
  14. ok, I hit some sort of weird bug; I took a bowlful of salad from my crock and the nutrition stats went nuts. I generally keep my nutrition up so it's hard to tell if it really affected what I get when I eat it; I'll try to let my food bar go down alot before I take a bite and see what happens.
  15. here's an idea; you have the mixing bowl so I imagine this should be possible make a Kitchen Counter, similar to a table to create that uses a polished slab of the types of stone you can make a quern from: basalt, granite, peridotite and andesite that has a crafting window just like the one we do most crafting in our inventories; transfer all your recipes you do in the crafting window to this; smashing and chopping the meat, chopping veggies, drizzling syrups and such. Doesn't need to 'mix' like the bowl, just click on the resulting item like you would in the normal crafting window. That should cut the lag that having your recipes in our usual crafting window causes. *edit* I admit it'd be fun to color coordinate the kitchen so that the counter matches the quern lol
  16. hmm...this looks odd with a negative cure timer?
  17. juice doesn't actually rot away; it turns into wine first and then into vinegar; process to become wine seems to take quite awhile, so you have plenty of time to gather more berries and make more juice and thus more syrup if you want I'd like to see a cooking use for wine (unless there is one and I don't realize it lol) I like the idea of minced/lumps of fat though, and the vinaigrette; the mixed juice sounds like a good idea too, just pointing out that it doesn't rot
  18. What's the plausibility of making the drizzling work as some of us assumed it would? i.e. place the pot of food on the ground (or a table) and shift/right click with the bottle of syrup/etc. Could maybe use the same mechanic as placing a lantern on the ground and right clicking to add a liner from vanilla? If the food and/or syrup doesn't match a recipe/possible combination, you just pick up the food (or have the odd item shake visual with a red text message that says you cannot use x on y)
  19. drizzling is one of the things I had to ask about too, actually once you understand it's in grid it's easy enough to do
  20. actually it's alot clearer than it was when you first brought out 1.3.0 and the few times I got super confused I asked in here and you answered lol I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of what you've made possible, for one thing I have yet to make cheese tho I'm a tiny bit closer on that count
  21. you're welcome I understand the frustration, and admit the handbook guides aren't as intuitive as I'd like lol; but l33tmaan has done and amazing job with this mod and as I figure out how it works I love it more
  22. here ya go I use dried berries; since there's no acorn flour I can use all 4 types
  23. you're wanting berry bread like this? I don't have any prepared acorns for flour but I can still give a quick recipe for similar to this one
  24. I find that sage is honestly the best out of all the herbs the mod adds; both in 'veggie' and especially in healing
  25. lol I thought they should too, but hey it cooks and it has protein better than vanilla so I figured I wouldn't complain much *edit* that particular batch of sausages might be from 1.3.3 or 1.3.4
