  1. Is there any way to repair the bear armor? Or is it not possible? I’d rather not go and kill a bear if I don’t have to.
  2. I miss Dynamic Trees every time I see someone talking about this (and if you couldn’t tell, that’d be my preferred implementation).
  3. The best way to do this would probably be to have some sky light, as it both lowers the cooling score of the cellar and also lets light into the room. You’d have to be careful not to have too much light, though, as otherwise the room would become a greenhouse and work against you.
  4. On the one hand, it could probably work really nicely for all sorts of things, but I feel that you neglect the fact that ray tracing, or probably more accurately path tracing, can also have light leakage issues. If the lighting is processed at a high resolution, it gets laggy quickly, and if the lighting is done at a lower resolution, the light leakage could reappear, possibly worse than before.
  5. The issue with this is servers: if someone wants to be off the server for a day or two, they wouldn’t be able to count on having a semi-viable harvest when they come back; instead, they’d just have seeds, which aren’t any good, unless they had grain growing- in that case, the harvest IS the seeds.
  6. It’s really fun to look back at these posts and look forward to what’s ahead in the game’s future.
  7. That’s an old world.
  8. I would love to see the developers at least improve some of the lighting interactions, especially with improving light leakage through roofs.
  9. The beehive kiln is available in the iron age.
  10. A “type ‘delete’ to delete world” prompt would definitely help with me impulsively deleting my worlds when I change my modlist.
  11. Here
  12. Mentioned as in the works? They have full models for those, and a (weird looking) walk cycle for the croc! Seriously, they don’t walk like that.

I just visited the treasure hunter’s hut again and realized that saplings have a different model in planters. The more you know!
  14. Who’s this “thrist” fellow?
  15. Don’t call me a dirtbag! It’s rude! In all seriousness, the only reason I wouldn’t want a bag for dirt and such is that it’d let me bring too much dirt home.
  16. Actually, fires always warm the player up within a couple blocks. The second that same fire is in a room, though, the range of warm air increases to include the whole room. Once or twice, I’ve saved my butt by hiding out of the snow in a cave, huddled close to a fire. It’s quite cozy, and there’s even a song that plays if you sit by the fire long enough.
  17. Is it on the creative command handbook?
  18. Maybe the command they were talking about in the 1.21.5 post?
  19. Yeah, I play the unstable when available, and it is cool, but I’m more interested in the stages before an unstable version is available.
  20. If this feature was added, I’d balance it by making it take a long time in a cooking pot, so it takes a lot of fuel and time to get a bit of salt; it does, after all, take a lot of energy to boil a whole pot of water away. Aside from fuel costs, maybe the different sources of salt could be balanced by having oceans as pretty rare (which they are currently, at least on default settings). I will note that a cooking pot shouldn’t get dirty/residued from boiling salt water. Or maybe they should; that’s a lot of salt, and there’s some nasty stuff in seawater.
  21. I think that, if such a block was added to survival, it could be a cutain or drape. It’d fit nicely with the tone of the game, and it would be something that wouldn’t need additional tech beyond what’s in the game.
  22. The most recently edited game also goes to the top; if you change the name or settings of a save, it goes up too.
  23. Firstly: Can it. If there was any risk of that being banworthy, you exacerbate that risk by saying something about it. Secondly: @cjc813, thank you for taking the time to respond. I get your point on the matter of starting a new discussion post, and see what you mean. As for this, you make a valid point: I too have spent a fair share of my time boating down TOBG's rivers, and those memories of exploration are fond ones; but I would also love to see them carefully implemented- many of the hours I spent on rivers in Minecraft were without much stimulation aside from boat drifting, and while there is certainly more to look at, I would love to see this implemented with care, as the boating in TOBG is... unskilled, to say the least. I will add that development is iterative, in any sense of the process. While I, too, would appreciate a first draft of many of the roadmap's features, I would also appreciate a refined version of the other features that have already been started on before this.
