I would also note that new suggestions also need to take the Standard game balance into account, since that's the game mode intended to be the default(multiple gameplay styles accounted for and settings tuned to satisfy the widest variety of players). Many suggestions that I see float through the forums aren't necessarily bad, as much as they are clearly balanced around individual preference.

That is, unless the Rust World incidentally used Dr Pepper's exact flavouring for cough medicine, and now the general population associate it with being sick.
(This just so happens to be the exact reason why Dr Pepper flopped in Australia)

I've heard this is also why American drinks like root beer never really caught on overseas, though I also suspect part of it might be due to those unfamiliar with the beverage trying to drink it without chilling it first. It's a drink that's really better served cold, especially when it includes ice cream.

Of course, I've also heard that this is why mint isn't really a popular flavor for candy and other foods in America; many of us associate mint flavoring with toothpaste and mouthwash.

Unpopular Opinion: Bushmeat SHOULD be usable in meals (at least stews), but should in fact remain less nutritious than red meat, as the meat of predators is typically less nutritious and has a higher concentration of heavy metals and such that make it worse for your health, as well as that bushmeat in general tends to be a lot more parasite laden than the meats that count as redmeat for this game.
