The sun does not seem to be lit in my world using the latest version (1.0.4) The day and night light is all correct and the actual light itself is fine, just the actual sun itself is a dull grey sphere that casts no light itself. EDIT: Seems like it was just a conflict with Volumetric lights continued. Tweaking some of the settings for that mod returned the sun to being light but it is lacking that intense ray effect present normally. Best to just remove Volumetric Lights it seems. Sorry to bug you and thanks for the mod:)
  2. For some reason I cannot get the standard backpack pack to work on 1.16.5. Is anyone else experiencing this or is this simply not updated to work on that version yet? EDIT: Nevermind. I was confused. Things do seem to be working, its just that the recipe for the hand basket doesn't seem to include the rope mentioned in the post. That's fine, just surprised me. I tried the plus version (and am staying with it lol) and the recipe is also not using rope. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
  3. Lol, I initially had the same reaction to the black magic spam. A magic mod sounded quite interesting if maybe a little off-theme. I was sorely disappointed. I felt obliged to report the fifteen or so posts after that and also noticed the lack of a report user feature. I guess it could be abuseable but seems at least a way of possibly mitigating a known spammer or bot from continued spamming? I don't know what all of the options for regulating forums are but I have seen rules such as one post per 24hr period for accounts that are new be somewhat effective. Even an hour limit could be effective at detecting bots if you could also track and ban repeated attempts to violate the limit. You can still ask your question and view threads with a time limit but it makes for a bit of a buffer against the ill-intended. The forums for The Dark Mod are an example of some rather tight restrictions in-place initially that lessen considerably over time. Small community with minimal moderators but rather effective spam prevention. Not trying to compare or anything, just throwing some thoughts/suggestions out there. I personally only find the spamming a minor nuisance but I also don't have to clean it up:) Edit: After looking at the account of the recent spam bot the account was created two hours ago and has posted 30 times. They are also a higher rank than myself now even though I've been lurking around since 2019:) Jokes aside, the point stands that 30 posts in an hour on a two hour old account would definitely not happen with a time limit, that's for sure.
  4. Wow, yeah, that seems like a really restrictive limit. Any custom assets or sound will easily push things over that I'd imagine. The new instruments mod is over 6mb already. Could be a temporary limit as the system is relatively new. At least, I hope that is the case. Thank you for explaining that.
  5. Hey there! I see you've added your mods to the official database, which is greatly appreciated btw, but the file for this mod is missing from the download section there. All of the other mods look great, just this one is missing the file.
  6. Well, the install issues are fixed for sure and I thank you for that. There is still the matter of missing head/facial hair in the character creator. The options are indeed there, but the player renders as smooth as a newborn despite the settings lol.

  9. Let me start by saying that I hate to necro a thread like this, but I thought it better to do so than to start a separate topic on the issue. Regarding the post above about adjusting length of time in a day using commands, can anyone further elaborate? I see the "set time speed NUMBER" suggestions but I was wondering what the default value of said number is and what is the range it can be adjusted to?
  10. Thank you for updating us here on the forums! It seems to be a smaller community here but I, for one, greatly appreciate the progress update. I'm fairly new to the game/forums here, but quite familiar with TFC/minecraft and I only wish I found out about this gem of game sooner! It really is one of the better voxel sandbox survival games out there. It really feels like a passion project much like TFC. I very much like the focus on gamifying early stone-age and bronze-age survival rather than the rush to future tech that many MC mods have taken. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just nice to see something a bit different. Anyways, I just want to thank you and the others working on this game for all of the effort clearly put in thus far. I think the "It will be done when it's done" approach is the best possible approach for delivering a great game to the masses. So please, take all the time you need. As long as progress is being made I don't mind waiting as long as necessary. Its always worth it in the end. There's a ridiculous amount of variables to plan around in games like these and I can only imagine the time it takes to ensure all of the possible kinks are ironed out, let alone polishing things to a shine. So again, thank you! I look forward to seeing where things go from here and I hope that more people find this game so it gets at least a portion of the recognition and attention that it so deserves:)
