  1. You can use your crafting grid as a temporary storage spot giving you up to 9 extra slots to store things. Great in the early game when you are trying to make storage and need that extra 1-2 slots to get those ingredients home. The down sides are that you have to toss the stuff out of the crafting window to craft and that if you accidentally close the crafting window you will drop all the stuff (I often do this oops when I close my map by hitting escape instead of the X on the window).
  2. The TL;DR is that most foods primarily in the form of "meals" in a bowl may give you brief periods of being "full" and the "better" the meal, the longer it can last.

  5. Heya Spang, You know we love your mod. This applies to you too. \o/ Recently I've had some random crashes on my server and it would seem that PS may be one of the contributors to this behavior. I've included details below in an effort to help with any fixes that may need to be done.   7. Yep. Definitely happening on our server too. We are running 2.5.2 on VS 1.14.5. Ran "/debug logticks 100" for a while and got the end of this file for the results. server-main.txt
  8. Updated to 1.14.5 and it seems the same issue is here. The crates were displaying blank and inaccessible. Updated the BetterCrates mod from 1.2.2 to 1.2.5 does NOT seem to fix it. Using CarryCapacity to pick them up and replace just deletes the contents completely but the crates are accessible again. Note that we are NOT using BetterChests.
  9. I personally would appreciate it being client side only as I don't want to force the players to need it and as a player, I want to have the option. Is there a way to turn it on/off in game?
  10. Perhaps an easier alternative would be more like a "wall-jump" mechanic. Where-by you jump and if against a block, you press jump again which pauses you mid air for a split second, release the jump button and get a small extra jump to get up that second block height. Sadly, most Minecraft wall-jumps default to a second key press. I end up rebinding it to the jump key (space) and get a very simple and ituitive use of it. Many a wall jump allows the use of it infinitely on opposing walls, or holding the jump to just slowly slide down the wall but I would image leaving it simple with a single jump only would be a great boon. Either way, thank you for StepUp. Is this a client side only mod or does it work only if a server has it too when playing on a server?

  12. Well, I suspect the disable option wasn't working properly from VS. In VS it had the mod unchecked but going to the folder, nothing had changed. I can't say I know how it effects mods being enabled or disabled but, it's a theory at least. I manually have disabled it in the mean time. When we get a chance again, I'll see about enabling the mods for us both and trying to pick up and place another pot. Thank you for the advice. -Vallen
  13. Heya, Kashcah and I were messing around with the 1.14 pre-release. She was hosting a LAN game and I joined. I forgot that I still had Carry Capacity enabled and accidentally tried picking up a storage vessel. We both crashed. Big oops on my end. We checked that Carry Capacity was disabled and tried again. Kashcah could then see me standing there. At my end, I was walking around with a storage vessel in my hand. I asked her to kill my character. She did and each hit dropped a storage vessel in world until I died. She went into creative mode and destroyed each vessel taht was dropped with a click. I respawned and was no longer carrying the vessel! Yay! BUT, then I found that I was still encumbered at a 75% speed rate. Permanently. So, my question for you is, do you have any advice on how I can get my speed back to normal? Thanks again for all you do. -Vallen
  14. I'm a fan of this. This does seem really cheap though. Going with the lore I'd make it require more iron to make one. Maybe even silver or gold materials too. The padlock seems a strange use to move it considering that's primarily a server chest lock item. Maybe an iron tier pick to pick it up? What's your thinking on the padlock?

  16. Suggestion that you can make mead and a way to drink it. Squeeze honey into a barrel of water and add berries for different resulting mead variants (after fermentation). To drink it, one could use a bowl for one serving or use the clay crafting mechanic to instead carve a cup from a log/firewood that is shift+placed on the ground (you could also make wooden plates/bowls) and carved with a knife in hand instead of a knapping tool. The results of the mead could be a small saturation boost and fruit nutrition gain but it would perhaps have secondary effects on a player (too much might have an increasing drunken effect whereas a bit here and there could temporarily delay/reduce hunger effects (especially if drank with a meal), give a boost to movement speed, reduce fall damage, etc. for the different berry effects. I'm an apiarist and mead maker IRL too. :3

  19. Boosting the Tool speed to max I can cut most trees with an axe in a few chops. I try with a knife on a reed and it still takes the same time to cut & also harvest the root as if it were on default speed settings. Version 1.12.4
  20. It would seem that at some point my arms went above my head and have been stuck there. Not sure what triggered it but unequipping, changing held items, attacking, etc. doesn't seem to change it. On the plus side, it looks cool holding a weapon and could be seen as a "Hi" emote. On the down side, it doesn't look good holding a torch.

I found that when I have killed something and I go to harvest it, if my hotbar is full and I shift+click the loot it leaves the corpse but disappears and does not go into my inventory if it was something I didn't already have. If I have extra storage (bags/baskets/etc.) open and space there then it will go into the storage but no space available and shift+click and the item(s) are gone. Has anyone else experienced this? Turns out that it happens even if I have the same items in my baskets and the basket inventory is closed. The item(s) just disappear.
  22. Heya, When you first start up Vintage Story the launch screen (or even the log in screen) starts with the window size so small only a small amount of info is available to be seen. For new players it tells them to log in but they don't see the log in fields, just the message to log in and no scroll bars either. I would like to recommend that the game auto-maximize on start up or at least has a bigger starting window size.
