Normally this game runs on lower spec machines however there always drivers that don't play nicely. If you see performance impacts, please let us know in bugfixes with all the relevant information you can think of.

Your forum account is not the same as your game account. Double check which password you are using.

Do you have block info turned on? Screen shot would help.

We have different and more people in the community than when this was first discussed. I wonder what the current community would think of it.

@Aledark Please report this to bugfixes either on the forums or discord if you have not done so already.

I too share many of his views. Alchemy is very tempting and I wrote a possible rework for the firepit back in 2018. Wow. reading back through it some great ideas badly worded.

You play almost exclusively single player don't you?

Not saying it will definitely lead to a mount but it is the only option that promises more animals. I agree. Everything in the lovecraftian update sounds amazing but transportation of livestock and possible mountable animals is sorely needed.

fish, fishing, boats, oceans would be nice, but this doesn't really add much in the way of new things to do. It's more like alternative option to things that already exist. (Side Grade) Giant creatures, the first main story event, alchemy, richer ruins is very exciting and definitely adds more things that don't already have alternatives to the game. (Game Expansion) Shields, improved visual feedback, ranged mobs, tool/armor repair is needed at some point but will have a bigger impact the more mobs that are in the game. (Controversial Combat) Fruit trees, alcohol, improved meals, more animals, more crops, birds, animal leashes, pies addresses many common request for quality of life improvements. I've seen several requests for fruit trees, meal improvements, and ways to transport animals. (QoL Improvements) Water wheel, low tech windmill, brick kiln, firepit overhaul, elevators?, more mechanical power blocks, conveyor belts, etc. This will be a popular choice because there are a lot of gear heads out there. However, mechanical stuff provides solutions to remove tedious tasks from the game like hammering blooms and grinding. While there are certainly still tedious tasks in VS I don't think this will address most of those and instead add complexity to already existing mechanics. (Gearhead Magnet)

Can you take some screenshots that prove the situation and submit it bugfixes please

The big gears are weird. I usually see people have multiple helve hammers on one anvil.

Each source of light has a value. That value decreases by one for each block traveled. The blocks must share a side.

Most things in the game are time based not tick based such as crops which update based on time passed since chunk was last loaded. What is the reason you want to keep a chunk loaded?
-
This will likely be in the next update.

Are you willing to pay an extra 10 Euros to have the game in your steam library? Do you see what I'm getting at now?

I have read every single reply here and I like the discussion that is happening here. Everyone seems to be in slight agreeance that combat in its self is not the issue, but everyone has slightly different takes on what causes toxic communities.
-
I've seen a lot of combat suggestions and other suggestions revolving around making PvP combat better. I understand a lot of people enjoy killing things in video games, if that wasn't the case it wouldn't be the largest part of the video game market. I also understand a lot of people enjoy PvP because it takes killing to the next level. However, when I think of the most toxic communities out there they often revolve around highly competitive PvP style games. On the contrary, whenever I think about the most supportive communities it is around games that focus on things such building and collecting. There are exceptions to this trend but a trend can't be denied. I really like the community Vintage Story has going for it at the moment and I'm sure many would agree. Is anyone else concerned that if the game became popular for combat and PvP, that it would attract the type of players that make those other communities so toxic?

@cosmic jon confirmed

They don't have to be square. I've done one that looks like a twisted Z and it still worked with the firepit in the middle.

How Mod conflict is difficult to predict without looking into the source code of the two mods. My best advice is to try it out and report any issues you find to the two mod developers and see if one or both are willing to resolve the conflict in a way that is agreeable to you.
