Hot take: Classes either shouldn't have unique recipes, or shouldn't affect any statistics whatsoever. Pick one or the other. Ideally, classes should have exclusive capabilities other classes cannot replicate. Right now, the Tailor is the only class that can do that, yet it's saddled with so many negatives in exchange that it's very difficult to justify playing it, and making a variety clothes just... isn't too important right now.

Whoops, there's so much in the handbook I miss things sometimes. Sorry! I think that was the older method of getting vinegar, before I added juice and wine.
-
You seal wine in barrels to make vinegar. The recipe you're talking about requires vinegar and fresh berries, it's just MUCH quicker than the other method.

For whatever reason, people are TERRIFIED of penalties. Even if they love killing monsters and digging for ore and hate doing all the stupid base-building, I've seen people go with Commoner purely because "WTF +30% HUNGER? WTF, -15% DAMAGE? WTF, -15% ORE?" This is somehow despite the fact that these numbers are too small to really be meaningful. Now I have to hit someone one more time with a sword, or lose a few nuggets from the gigantic ore veins I always find, or eat slightly larger meals. It's quite baffling. You could have a class whose traits are "+50 HP, +200% damage, +50% walking speed, but +25% hunger rate" and people STILL wouldn't pick it. The Commoner class is both the most worthless class, and the most popular. What a dilemma.

content-only Lichen - v1.17.0 - GEMSBOK! Antler Windchimes! Shoji Screens!

I think the deer might be causing slowdown when they spawn in. I've created a test world just for flying around in, and it appears that whenever deer get generated my server (not my computer) hangs for 4-6 seconds. I don't get any errors or anything, so maybe it's just me? -
Well, I guess they ran out of space and need to get more. I guess that's nice, if inconvenient for you right now.

1.16.4 VS Movement Mod v.1.0.9 - "Boat Update " (Prerelease)

It is quite fun! Stamina definitely seems to regenerate too quickly, and it probably shouldn't regenerate while you're sprinting or something. -

Is dash-jumping supposed to be so ridiculous? I can seriously leap across the landscape this way. It's cool and I like it, I'm just wondering how intentional it is. -
I asked Jake to update it, and he's taken care of it. Check it now. I do believe we have the BlockExpandedClayOven class and the ExpandedOven entityclass, which is probably where this issue lies.

That's all you need to do, just wait.

Can we, uh, help with that?

-
Perhaps what's in the crocks is causing the issue?
-
Hmm... maybe that inventory issue is because of XSkills. Have you brought it up there?
-
Spelt bread always comes out?! That can't be right, what are you doing to create it? Could you take a screenshot? Also, are you cooking the blueberry juice in a saucepan? What does the crash report say?
-
Taken care of. I should have a release ready by the end of this week, along with a little surprise...
-
That should REALLY just be something you can do in the vanilla game. Maybe we can do something about it...
-
Sorry about that, place these textures in your Primitive Survival installation. They belong in assets/primitivesurvival/textures/item/fishing.

What are the must-haves for a "finished" Vintage Story?
l33tmaan replied to Tyron's topic in Discussion
It would be kind of neat if you could ask a trader about rumors or local information and they point you towards something that's already there. Maybe a seed merchant knows where some terra preta is, or a luxury merchant heard about people finding gold ore to the southeast. -
You mean like the ropes Tyron's been working on? For controlling animals?
-
Yup, I forgot to remove that while I was doing some testing. My bad.
